5 places for festive foodie fixes

Already mulling over mulled wine? Pining for minced pies?
If you plan on sending the gift of good food this Christmas, to loved ones or yourself, here’s a selection of our favourite places with an abundance of tasty options and festive inspired snacks to indulge in. Because who doesn’t want a hamper filled with delicious nibbles to unwrap and share this time of year? Food for thought.

1. Two Boys Brew Mince Pies

Christmas wouldn’t be complete without placing an order for a couple of boxes of Two Boys Brews mince pies. Made with their own mincemeat, topped with lashings of brandy and finished with a few secret ingredients that the boys hold tight; these little luxuries are housed in the crumbliest all-butter shortcrust pastry and made with love. Keep an eye on their social media (@twoboysbrew) for pre-orders opening. Believe us when we say they are worth their wait in gold.

2. Forest Avenue Christmas Dinner Boxes

News just in; The Forest Ave Christmas Dinner Box is now live and ready for pre-order. They’ve created a festive meal with everything you’d need to create a delicious Christmas lunch or dinner at home. Minimal cooking required. Extra joy added. With the hard graft already out of the way, all you have to do is sit, back, relax and enjoy! Alongside their delightful dinner boxes, they’re also stocking Bauble Truffle Gift sets and beautifully decorated bespoke cakes from Taylor Clare Anne (@taylorclareanne). Designed exclusively for Forest Avenue.

3. Le Pattisier Autumn Collection

A pastry a day keeps the... cravings at bay. That's the saying, right? Pick yourself up a box of seven of Le Pattisier's exquisitely crafted and generously proportioned pastries for just €35. We've ordered their autumn box (more than once) featuring a Morello Cherry Cheesecake Dome, a Yuzu and Coconut Éclair, a Crunchy Chocolate Praline Pillow & many more bite-sized delights. And we didn't regret it one bit. Their delivery service runs from Wednesday to Saturday. You can also collect from their kitchen in Dublin 15 from Monday to Friday.

4. Pepper Pot Christmas Hampers

The Pepper Pot have been busy jarring brandy butter, baking pumpkin bread, and making Christmas puddings. They’re now offering Artisan Christmas Hampers fit for friends, families and foodies alike. Filled to the brim with Pepper Pot Christmas goodness. Deliveries vary depending on which hamper menu you choose. And they offer fee delivery nationwide.

5. Grano a Casa

Not one for the traditional take on a festive dinner plate? Put the puddings aside and get your orders in at Grano in Stoneybatter. The Italian restaurant is now delivering fresh Calabrian pasta to your doorstep. They change up their specials every week, a few of our favourites include their tortilla, nduja and burrata dish, a heart-warming chestnut pappardelle with venison ragu' and porcini mushrooms and their balanzoni, stuffed with ricotta and mortadella with butter sage, and pistacchios crumbled on top. Complete with suggested wine pairing.
